February - The Month of Love

Welcome to February, the month of love...

We are so excited to join you this month to fill your life with more love. We will be giving you simple quick tips to show yourself, your body and everyone around you more love. As the Beatles said, "love is all you need"!

So day 1 - lets talk about self love. I'm sure we've all been guilty of saying the age old "I'll be happy when I lose 10lbs or when my hair is longer or when I have that handbag". I know I'm not the only one! So I'm going to give you a quick tip to instantly change your life... Grab a pen and paper or simply you iPhone or iPad and let's go...

If you were to really love yourself right now, how would you treat yourself differently? Have a think, then start writing....

Treat yourself as if you'd already arrived, as if you were already where you want to be. Funnily enough, when we totally love and accept ourselves, change is easy. It's only when we are not totally happy that we then sabotage ourselves or make decisions that don't suit our real goals. I started doing this back in 2013 and always come back to it, for a bit of inspiration and to help you along, here is my list...

"If I really loved myself I would:

  • give myself more time
  • read more books
  • move my body everyday
  • walk more
  • give myself more time to enjoy my breakfast
  • shave my legs daily
  • get a massage
  • go to more gigs
  • go to bed earlier
  • put myself first
  •  eat like a lady (not shovelling in my food like Beast from Beauty and the Beast)
  • paint my nails
  • body brush daily
  • oil pull
  • netti pot
  • see my friends more
  • get rid of old clothes I don't feel good in
  • have more relaxing baths
  • floss twice a day (who doesn't love squeaky clean teeth?)
  • listen to more podcasts
  • watch more www.fmtv.com documentaries and
  • learn to speak French

When I did this I realised that the things I was missing were not food related, but simple things that I could easily start adding in to my week. I don't have to do everything everyday, but simply adding in a few of these things makes me feel better. So what's on your list?

The greatest gift we can give ourselves is time for ourselves. Show yourself you are loved!
